Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Composition. by Karl Axel Pehrson was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in May this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 20,000.00 – 25,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 16,000.00 (€ 1,378.64). Admittedly, works by Karl Axel Pehrson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Exotisk flykt" (Exotic movement) in April 2013 with an auction result of SEK 50,000.00 (€ 5,855.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Composition. von Karl Axel Pehrson im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 16.000,00 (€ 1.378,64) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Karl Axel Pehrson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Exotisk flykt" (Exotic movement) im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 50.000,00 (€ 5.855,10).
