Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work De Golfspeler by Karel Sirag. The price achieved of EUR 2,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karel Sirag - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Het Testen van het IJs' - Ice testing, which sold at auction in September 2007 for EUR 5,625.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit De Golfspeler von Karel Sirag zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Karel Sirag mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Het Testen van het IJs' - Ice testing beobachtet, die im September 2007 für EUR 5.625,00 versteigert wurde.
