Despite a disappointment, a good price for Karel Anthony Nel
When the work Circuit/Accelerator by Karel Anthony Nel was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,167.50 (€ 2,514.14). Despite this disappointing result, Circuit/Accelerator is the most expensive artwork by Karel Anthony Nel that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit Circuit/Accelerator von Karel Anthony Nel im Oktober 2019 bei Bonhams in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.167,50 (€ 2.514,14) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Circuit/Accelerator das teuerste Kunstwerk von Karel Anthony Nel, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
