In March last year Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Including Works from the Collection of Mahinder and Sharad Tak, which included the work Untitled (Homage to Light Series) by Kanwal Krishna. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,930.00 (€ 6,247.18), 39% above the upper estimate. With this result, Untitled (Homage to Light Series) is even the most expensive work of art by Kanwal Krishna that we have observed at auctions so far.
