Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in London held the auction The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg, which included the work Syncritism by Kanwal Krishna. The price achieved of GBP 252.00 (€ 296.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kanwal Krishna achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Homage to Light Series) in March last year with an auction result of USD 6,930.00 (€ 6,247.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg durch, in der auch die Arbeit Syncritism von Kanwal Krishna zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 252,00 (€ 296,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kanwal Krishna erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Homage to Light Series) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.930,00 (€ 6.247,18).
