The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,640.00 (€ 6,271.54), 41% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kano Tsunenobu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chrysanthemums Blooming in a Garden in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 175,000.00 (€ 149,342.89).

Die Arbeit Eight views of Xiao and Xiang von Kano Tsunenobu wurde im Oktober 2001 in der Auktion THE FALK COLLECTION II: CHINESE AND JAPANESE WORKS OF ART bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 5.640,00 (€ 6.271,54) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kano Tsunenobu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chrysanthemums Blooming in a Garden im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 175.000,00 (€ 149.342,89).
