In September 2020 Bonhams in New York held the auction Fine Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work Birds, flowers, fish, and insects by Kano Tsunenobu. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,040.00 (€ 1,740.91), 36% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kano Tsunenobu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chrysanthemums Blooming in a Garden in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 175,000.00 (€ 149,342.89).
