The work Poem in Running Script by Kang Sheng was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in December 2021. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 40,800.00 (€ 4,621.45), 36% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kang Sheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in April this year with an auction result of HKD 57,600.00 (€ 58,820.87).

Die Arbeit Poem in Running Script von Kang Sheng wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 40.800,00 (€ 4.621,45) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kang Sheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 57.600,00 (€ 58.820,87).
