Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work White Discharge (Built-Up Objects No.19) by Kaneuji Teppei was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,561.44). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kaneuji Teppei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Avalanche #1, which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 32,361.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit White Discharge (Built-Up Objects No.19) von Kaneuji Teppei im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.561,44) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Kaneuji Teppei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Avalanche #1 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 32.361,80) versteigert wurde.
