The work Teenage Fan Club by Kaneuji Teppei was sold in the Contemporary Showcase: Cheer Up! auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in May 2020. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 6,250.00 (€ 726.48), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kaneuji Teppei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Avalanche #1 in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 32,361.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Teenage Fan Club von Kaneuji Teppei wurde im Mai 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Showcase: Cheer Up! bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 6.250,00 (€ 726,48) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kaneuji Teppei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Avalanche #1 im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 32.361,80).
