Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rhythm From My Mind Vii by Kan Tai-Keung was sold in the Contemporary Ink Art : Journey auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 35,000.00 (€ 4,118.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kan Tai-Keung - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wisdom And Behaviour, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 82,600.00 (€ 9,546.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rhythm From My Mind Vii von Kan Tai-Keung wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Contemporary Ink Art : Journey bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 35.000,00 (€ 4.118,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Kan Tai-Keung mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wisdom And Behaviour beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 82.600,00 (€ 9.546,14) versteigert wurde.
