The work Unknown by Kamisaka Sekka was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2005. It achieved a price of GBP 2,160.00 (€ 3,133.06), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 44%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kamisaka Sekka - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Chigusa (A thousand grasses), which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 13,200.00 (€ 9,869.90).

Die Arbeit Unknown von Kamisaka Sekka kam im Juli 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.160,00 (€ 3.133,06) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 44%. Für andere Arbeiten von Kamisaka Sekka mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Chigusa (A thousand grasses) beobachtet, die im März 2007 für USD 13.200,00 (€ 9.869,90) versteigert wurde.
