A top price for Kamil Lhoták
This artwork by Kamil Lhoták achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2013. In the 19th Century European Paintings auction, the work Czech balloons sold for GBP 60,000.00 (€ 72,201.97) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. This high result makes Czech balloons the most expensive artwork by Kamil Lhoták that we have observed at auctions so far.
