Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work White Dive by Kambiz Sabri was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in October 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,033.13). Other works by Kambiz Sabri have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2011 by the work X series at USD 10,000.00 (€ 6,747.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit White Dive von Kambiz Sabri im Oktober 2011 bei Christies in Dubai versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.033,13) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Kambiz Sabri wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im April 2011 die Arbeit X series mit USD 10.000,00 (€ 6.747,18).
