Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2009 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Iranian and Arab Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Sans Titre, 1999 – Untiltled, 199 by Kamal Boullata. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,188.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kamal Boullata achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nocturne II in November this year with an auction result of GBP 47,880.00 (€ 55,482.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2009 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Iranian and Arab Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre, 1999 – Untiltled, 199 von Kamal Boullata zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.188,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kamal Boullata erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nocturne II im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.880,00 (€ 55.482,51).
