This artwork by Kamal Boullata achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2020. In the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction, the work Bilqis Study 1 sold for GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,596.49) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kamal Boullata have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nocturne II in November this year with an auction result of GBP 47,880.00 (€ 55,482.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kamal Boullata erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East wurde die Arbeit Bilqis Study 1 für GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.596,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kamal Boullata auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nocturne II im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.880,00 (€ 55.482,51).
