Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Christies in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, Part I, which included the work Angelus II-I by Kamal Boullata. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 25,200.00 (€ 29,201.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Kamal Boullata have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November this year the work Nocturne II was auctioned for GBP 47,880.00 (€ 55,482.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Angelus II-I von Kamal Boullata zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 25.200,00 (€ 29.201,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Kamal Boullata konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November diesen Jahres die Arbeit Nocturne II für GBP 47.880,00 (€ 55.482,51) versteigert.
