A top price for Kaiho Yusho - as previously expected
In March 2004 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work Birds and flowers, insects, landscapes, horses, Daoist sages and interiors by Kaiho Yusho. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 41,825.00 (€ 34,026.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Birds and flowers, insects, landscapes, horses, Daoist sages and interiors is the most expensive artwork by Kaiho Yusho that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im März 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese and Korean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Birds and flowers, insects, landscapes, horses, Daoist sages and interiors von Kaiho Yusho zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 41.825,00 (€ 34.026,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Birds and flowers, insects, landscapes, horses, Daoist sages and interiors das teuerste Kunstwerk von Kaiho Yusho, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
