A top price for Jyoti Swaroop - as previously expected
In July last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online, which included the work Untitled (Inner Jungle Series) by Jyoti Swaroop. The price achieved of GBP 2,550.00 (€ 3,045.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Untitled (Inner Jungle Series) is the most expensive artwork by Jyoti Swaroop that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Inner Jungle Series) von Jyoti Swaroop zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 3.045,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Untitled (Inner Jungle Series) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Jyoti Swaroop, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
