A top price for Jyothi Basu - as previously expected
The work Order Breaks from Within by Jyothi Basu was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2009. The price achieved of USD 80,500.00 (€ 56,987.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Order Breaks from Within is the most expensive artwork by Jyothi Basu that we have observed at auctions so far.
