Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work Portrait of Cardinal Carlo de Medici (1595-1666), full-length, in cardinal's robes by Justus Sustermans. The price achieved of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 103,414.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Other works by Justus Sustermans have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2008 the work Portrait Of A Gentleman was auctioned for USD 169,000.00 (€ 113,873.73).

Im Dezember 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Cardinal Carlo de Medici (1595-1666), full-length, in cardinal's robes von Justus Sustermans zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 103.414,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Justus Sustermans konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Januar 2008 die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman für USD 169.000,00 (€ 113.873,73) versteigert.
