In October 2004 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Potrait of A Girl; And Study For Patricia by Justin Mortimer. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,015.75 (€ 1,461.94), 27% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Justin Mortimer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shopping in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,086.31).

Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Potrait of A Girl; And Study For Patricia von Justin Mortimer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.015,75 (€ 1.461,94) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Justin Mortimer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shopping im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.086,31).
