The work Saint James The Greater by Jusepe de Ribera was sold in the Old Masters Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2019. The result of GBP 300,000.00 (€ 354,564.89) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jusepe de Ribera achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Girl With A Tambourine (The Sense Of Hearing) in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 5,743,000.00 (€ 6,305,432.17).
