Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Saint Bartholomew by Jusepe de Ribera was sold in the Old Masters Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2021. The price achieved of GBP 119,700.00 (€ 142,776.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jusepe de Ribera achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Girl With A Tambourine (The Sense Of Hearing) in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 5,743,000.00 (€ 6,305,432.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Saint Bartholomew von Jusepe de Ribera wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 119.700,00 (€ 142.776,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jusepe de Ribera erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Girl With A Tambourine (The Sense Of Hearing) im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.743.000,00 (€ 6.305.432,17).
