The price achieved of GBP 5,743,000.00 (€ 6,305,432.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000,000.00 – 7,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Girl With A Tambourine (The Sense Of Hearing) is the most expensive artwork by Jusepe de Ribera that we have observed at auctions so far.
