Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Job On The Ash Heap by Jusepe de Ribera was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2020. The price achieved of USD 437,500.00 (€ 394,392.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jusepe de Ribera achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Girl With A Tambourine (The Sense Of Hearing) in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 5,743,000.00 (€ 6,305,432.17).
