The auction ended at the price of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,607.16), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julius Caesar Ibbetson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of Ullswater, Cumberland, Taken From Gowbarrow Park; And View of Grasmere, Westmoreland, Taken From White Moss in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 124,493.30).
