Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Important British Paintings, which included the work Figures And Livestock In A Barn, Wales by Julius Caesar Ibbetson. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,270.27). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julius Caesar Ibbetson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of Ullswater, Cumberland, Taken From Gowbarrow Park; And View of Grasmere, Westmoreland, Taken From White Moss in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 124,493.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Important British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures And Livestock In A Barn, Wales von Julius Caesar Ibbetson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.270,27) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julius Caesar Ibbetson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View of Ullswater, Cumberland, Taken From Gowbarrow Park; And View of Grasmere, Westmoreland, Taken From White Moss im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.000,00 (€ 124.493,30).
