The auction ended at the price of EUR 3,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julio Romero de Torres achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fuensanta in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 826,900.00 (€ 1,157,873.93).

Die Arbeit Donna con anfora von Julio Romero de Torres wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion 19th and 20th Century Paintings and Sculptures bei Il Ponte versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 3.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julio Romero de Torres erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fuensanta im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 826.900,00 (€ 1.157.873,93).
