Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Netherworld Express by Julio Larraz was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2017. It achieved a price of USD 106,250.00 (€ 94,562.12), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julio Larraz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bingham at Noon, which sold at auction in May 2011 for USD 326,500.00 (€ 227,114.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Netherworld Express von Julio Larraz wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 106.250,00 (€ 94.562,12) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Für andere Arbeiten von Julio Larraz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bingham at Noon beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für USD 326.500,00 (€ 227.114,64) versteigert wurde.
