Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Julie Hedrick was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in October last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 500.00 – 700.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 165.75 (€ 166.85). Admittedly, works by Julie Hedrick have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October last year with an auction result of USD 765.00 (€ 770.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Julie Hedrick im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 165,75 (€ 166,85) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julie Hedrick auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 765,00 (€ 770,08).
