Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Julie Curtiss. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,532.49). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julie Curtiss achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Three Widows in June 2021 with an auction result of USD 466,200.00 (€ 393,484.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Julie Curtiss zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.532,49) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julie Curtiss erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Three Widows im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 466.200,00 (€ 393.484,13).
