The work Funky Boots by Julie Curtiss was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in June last year. It achieved a price of HKD 1,071,000.00 (€ 130,332.79), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julie Curtiss - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Three Widows, which sold at auction in June 2021 for USD 466,200.00 (€ 393,484.13).

Die Arbeit Funky Boots von Julie Curtiss wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.071.000,00 (€ 130.332,79) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Für andere Arbeiten von Julie Curtiss mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Three Widows beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für USD 466.200,00 (€ 393.484,13) versteigert wurde.
