Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Julie Blackmon could be acquired at Bonhams in April this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Classic & Contemporary Photographs auction, the work High Dive changed hands for USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,540.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julie Blackmon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gum, which sold at auction in April 2013 for USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,644.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Julie Blackmon konnte im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Classic & Contemporary Photographs wechselte die Arbeit High Dive für USD 2.805,00 (€ 2.540,76) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Julie Blackmon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gum beobachtet, die im April 2013 für USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.644,90) versteigert wurde.
