Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Julian Stanczak achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2021. In the Contemporary Edition auction, the work Three Screenprints, from: Twelve Progressions sold for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,160.82) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julian Stanczak achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Undulating Currents in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 98,986.38).
