Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November last year Bonhams in London held the auction The Astute EyeContemporary Art from a Private London Collector Online, which included the work Nimbus VI (Red) by Julian Stanczak. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 24,225.00 (€ 28,071.24), 21% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julian Stanczak - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Undulating Currents, which sold at auction in September 2014 for USD 125,000.00 (€ 98,986.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Astute EyeContemporary Art from a Private London Collector Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nimbus VI (Red) von Julian Stanczak zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 24.225,00 (€ 28.071,24) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Julian Stanczak mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Undulating Currents beobachtet, die im September 2014 für USD 125.000,00 (€ 98.986,38) versteigert wurde.
