Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Drink Nimi) by Julian Schnabel was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 40,320.00 (€ 46,925.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julian Schnabel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ethnic Type #14 in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 1,452,500.00 (€ 1,220,793.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Drink Nimi) von Julian Schnabel wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 40.320,00 (€ 46.925,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julian Schnabel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ethnic Type #14 im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.452.500,00 (€ 1.220.793,41).
