Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Canyon Of The Rio Colorado by Julian Walbridge Rix for USD 4,688.00 (€ 3,329.31). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Julian Walbridge Rix have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nightfall, Santa Clara Valley in August 2019 with an auction result of USD 21,325.00 (€ 19,405.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Canyon Of The Rio Colorado von Julian Walbridge Rix für USD 4.688,00 (€ 3.329,31) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julian Walbridge Rix auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nightfall, Santa Clara Valley im August 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.325,00 (€ 19.405,77).
