Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Summer Landscape by Julian Walbridge Rix was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,480.00 (€ 4,133.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Julian Walbridge Rix have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nightfall, Santa Clara Valley in August 2019 with an auction result of USD 21,325.00 (€ 19,405.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Summer Landscape von Julian Walbridge Rix kam im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.480,00 (€ 4.133,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julian Walbridge Rix auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nightfall, Santa Clara Valley im August 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.325,00 (€ 19.405,77).
