Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Christies in Beverly Hills held the auction California, Western and American Paintings, Drawings, and Sculpture, which included the work Passing Clouds over a Meadow by Julian Walbridge Rix. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,406.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julian Walbridge Rix - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nightfall, Santa Clara Valley, which sold at auction in August 2019 for USD 21,325.00 (€ 19,405.77).

Im Oktober 2008 führte Christies in Beverly Hills die Auktion California, Western and American Paintings, Drawings, and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Passing Clouds over a Meadow von Julian Walbridge Rix zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.406,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Julian Walbridge Rix mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nightfall, Santa Clara Valley beobachtet, die im August 2019 für USD 21.325,00 (€ 19.405,77) versteigert wurde.
