Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Champagne Life by Julia Wachtel was sold in the Handpicked: 50 works selected by the Saatchi Gallery auction at Christies in London in March 2019. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,565.91), 19% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julia Wachtel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape No. 13 (backyard), which sold at auction in May 2017 for USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,187.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Champagne Life von Julia Wachtel wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Handpicked: 50 works selected by the Saatchi Gallery bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 27.565,91) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Julia Wachtel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape No. 13 (backyard) beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für USD 68.750,00 (€ 61.187,26) versteigert wurde.
