Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work French breaking The News by Jules Worms for USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,260.34). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jules Worms - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French Breaking The News, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 67,000.00 (€ 43,037.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit French breaking The News von Jules Worms für USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.260,34) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jules Worms mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit French Breaking The News beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 67.000,00 (€ 43.037,00) versteigert wurde.
