Auction result well in line with expectations
The work French plasirs Des Champs by Jules Cyrille Cavé was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2015. It changed hands for a price of USD 68,750.00 (€ 65,091.84) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jules Cyrille Cavé - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The flower girl, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 89,150.00 (€ 137,894.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit French plasirs Des Champs von Jules Cyrille Cavé wurde im November 2015 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 65.091,84) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jules Cyrille Cavé mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The flower girl beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 89.150,00 (€ 137.894,86) versteigert wurde.
