Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Wildflowers by Jules Cyrille Cavé. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 60,480.00 (€ 51,927.53) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jules Cyrille Cavé - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The flower girl, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 89,150.00 (€ 137,894.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wildflowers von Jules Cyrille Cavé zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 60.480,00 (€ 51.927,53) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jules Cyrille Cavé mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The flower girl beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 89.150,00 (€ 137.894,86) versteigert wurde.
