Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2003 Christies in London held the auction At Home-British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper, which included the work The orange picker by Jules Bouvier. The price achieved of GBP 646.25 (€ 943.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jules Bouvier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rebekah, which sold at auction in June 2003 for GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,363.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion At Home-British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit The orange picker von Jules Bouvier zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 646,25 (€ 943,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jules Bouvier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rebekah beobachtet, die im Juni 2003 für GBP 1.645,00 (€ 2.363,95) versteigert wurde.
