A top price for Jules Bouvier - as previously expected
In June 2003 Christies in London held the auction AT HOME-BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER, which included the work Rebekah by Jules Bouvier. The price achieved of GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,363.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Rebekah is the most expensive artwork by Jules Bouvier that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Juni 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion AT HOME-BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rebekah von Jules Bouvier zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.645,00 (€ 2.363,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Rebekah das teuerste Kunstwerk von Jules Bouvier, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
