Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sarah Bernhardt by Jules Bastien-Lepage was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in July 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,325.00 (€ 5,372.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jules Bastien-Lepage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Sarah Bernhardt in October last year with an auction result of USD 2,280,000.00 (€ 2,295,147.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sarah Bernhardt von Jules Bastien-Lepage kam im Juli 2020 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.325,00 (€ 5.372,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jules Bastien-Lepage erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait De Sarah Bernhardt im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.280.000,00 (€ 2.295.147,98).
