This artwork by Jules Bastien-Lepage achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in November 2014. In the Old Master and 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, Sculptures auction, the work Jeune Garçon Sur La Plage sold for EUR 28,600.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jules Bastien-Lepage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Sarah Bernhardt in October last year with an auction result of USD 2,280,000.00 (€ 2,295,147.98).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jules Bastien-Lepage erzielte im November 2014 bei Artcurial einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, Sculptures wurde die Arbeit Jeune Garçon Sur La Plage für EUR 28.600,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jules Bastien-Lepage erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait De Sarah Bernhardt im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.280.000,00 (€ 2.295.147,98).
