Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work French portrait Of Emile Bastien-Lepage And Portrait Of A Man With A Boater (Possibly A Self Portrait): Two Works by Jules Bastien-Lepage for USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,529.59). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jules Bastien-Lepage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Sarah Bernhardt in October last year with an auction result of USD 2,280,000.00 (€ 2,295,147.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit French portrait Of Emile Bastien-Lepage And Portrait Of A Man With A Boater (Possibly A Self Portrait): Two Works von Jules Bastien-Lepage für USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.529,59) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jules Bastien-Lepage erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait De Sarah Bernhardt im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.280.000,00 (€ 2.295.147,98).
