In November 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work French portrait Of A Young Boy by Jules Bastien-Lepage. The result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 23,059.19) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jules Bastien-Lepage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Sarah Bernhardt in October last year with an auction result of USD 2,280,000.00 (€ 2,295,147.98).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit French portrait Of A Young Boy von Jules Bastien-Lepage zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 23.059,19) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jules Bastien-Lepage erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait De Sarah Bernhardt im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.280.000,00 (€ 2.295.147,98).
